So not a white elephant gift!

At our Stamp Club white elephant card exchange, I came home with these beauties!

My dear friend and stamp club member Karen, made these cards to represent each season of the year!  All I have to say is that there is nothing white elephant about these gorgeous works of art!

Furthermore, I think everyone would say that about the cards they came home with.  My girls think that I teach them, but I learn something at every stamp club I attend with them!  Love them all BIG!

Personalized Stationery Note Cards

Don't you just love the elegance of a monogrammed card?  I decided that I had several thank you cards I needed to make, as well as some notes to write.  In the interest of time, I decided to make monograms so that they can do double duty!

I used some retired paper for Sale-A-Bration called Everyday Enchantment.
(It was one of my favorites so I stocked up!)

I gave these cards a modern touch by also using some current products such as the trio border punch.

The alphabet I used is called Sophisticated Serifs and has two different sized letters in this font, the larger, which I used being 1/3/4 ".

Throw in the triple border punch and voila'!

Wouldn't these make a wonderful gift set for a close friend or co-worker?  I know I loved receiving a similar set years back which gave me inspiration for these very cards!  I hope this offers you inspiration as well!

Party Time

I wanted to share some pictures of my daughter's birthday party.

We had a lot of fun making the decorations and cupcakes!

She chose a Barbie themed painting party so we used pink, black and white.

I made each girl their own goody bag out of various designer series papers.

My daughter wanted to individualize each bag so we added an initial.

I wish I had taken a picture of the book mark and necklace she made for each of her friends!
It was fun to coordinate her birthday banner!  I used pearls (I found them on a ribbon roll at Hobby Lobby!) to string the banner which went perfectly with the theme!

Here is Nora at her 7th birthday party!  My mom and I even made her outfit!

I hope this inspires you!  I am available to help with your party planning needs too!

A Whole New World

My kiddo loves mermaids.  She is learning to play, "A Whole New World" on the piano, and had a mermaid party last year for her sixth birthday.  So, as you can imagine, I was not at all surprised to when we decided to paint and decorate her bathroom that she chose a mermaid shower curtain.

So, of course, Mommy wanted something hand made to go in there and I found these super cute and super reasonable frames at IKEA that just screamed for me to make a mermaid!

Here she is!  What do you think?
