June Blooms Card Class

This elegant card features a set we got at leadership from the brand new 2012-2013 New Idea Book And Catalog called Everything Eleanor.  What a way to make gray blooms come to life when you mix it with daffodil delight.  Come learn how to emboss and burnish when you create this card!

This card makes me smile!  The bright combination of daffodil delight and melon mambo, paired with the Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossoms punch remind me that summer is just around the corner!  Who wouldn't want to receive this as a birthday card?

Are these blooms bold or what?  This little birdie is from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set, also from the new catalog, as is the beautiful Floral District Designer Series Paper!  The sentiment is from Language of Friendship and the center uses a new in color-Gumball Green!  Come create with me!  I promise, you will LOVE the new stamp pads and all of the fun new products!

A Little Story

Today I'd like to share a little story.  This picture was taken at my upline, Sharon Armstrong's house.  I am so blessed not just to work with her, but to know her.  She is not just a talented, knowledgeable and creative person, but she is also a kind and caring person who treats her downline and even her clients like friends and family.  My daughter Nora even calls her Mimi.

I wanted you to see a sample of the soon to be retired decor elements in an actual home and not just in the catalog.  She does such a great job with them and has them throughout her home and they all look gorgeous.

Now for my story.

Nora, my 3 year old and I stopped by Sharon's to borrow a stamp set.  After some play and a little spoiling, Nora noticed the lovely display of family pictures and she and Sharon were discussing them.  Then my precocious child said to Sharon, "You know Mimi, we're not supposed to write on the walls!"  Sharon, having raised 5 children of her own and now enjoying being a Mimi, did a lovely job of explaining the difference between wall stickers and pencils, crayons, etc. Soon after that and some hugs and kisses we were on our way. (Unfortunately, soon after we were home, Nora was introduced to a magic eraser for using a pencil on Mommy's bedroom wall.  I wish I could say I was surprised, but I digress...)

In any event, I would love for you to be able to appropriately and beautifully decorate your walls with decor' elements before they are gone for good!  To see a list of our decor' elements, click HERE

To order, call or email me, or as always, you can shop 24/7 online HERE

Also, if you join my team, you not only get the AWESOME experience of Stampin' Up, but the blessing of being a member of Sharon's team too!

Embossing Folder Holder

I made this out of a chicken of the sea box from a grocery store shelf.  It is the perfect size to hold embossing folders for our Big Shot.  Just cover it with a little DSP and accessorize and Voila!  A beautiful and functional masterpiece!

A special thanks to my downline, Jenn for sharing her moment of brilliance!

May Card Class

I hope you'll be able to come and create these fun spring cards with us at my May card class!
The first card is super simple and quick and features a new stamp set that coordinates with the Summer Smooches series.  I just love the fun colors and simplicity of this sweet summer card!
This card features one of my all time favorite stamp sets, "Vintage Vogue," That is soon to be retired.  I designed this card using the attic boutique designer series paper and the new daffodil seam binding and I'm very happy with the results.  I hope you are too!
This card is a combo of the old and the new.  The fun chevron pattern is from the new Summer Smooches designer series paper, but the beautiful flowers are made from the soon to be retired Island Floral Die.

All three cards are versatile and lovely.

The card class will be on Thursday, May 10
10am or 6:15pm-whichever time better suits your schedule.

At the class, you will create, 9 cards, 3 each of the 3 cards pictured above, with coordinating envelopes.

The class fee is $20, or for a $35 order, your class and cards are FREE!!!!!

Please RSVP to shancanstamp@yahoo.com by Tuesday, May 8.

I hope to see you there!

Ode To Vogue

I have to admit that I am very sad to see the stamp set Vintage Vogue retiring.  It is one of my favorite stamp sets and is so beautiful and versatile.  Because I hate to see it go, I had to get it out and use it one more time so I designed it for my upcoming card class on May 10th.  This set is a perfect example of a stamp set that has beautiful words and images,  On the inside of of one card it says, "Life happens. Love helps.", and on the inside of the other card it says, "You raise kindness to an art."

This stamp set as well as the other sets on the retiring list will be available until May 31st if you are interested in ordering.  The item number is:  117690 for wood and 118598 for clear.  The coordinating wheel, not pictured in this card, but incredibly beautiful and also one of my favorites is item number: 117693.  It is called Very Vintage.

If you would like to order, just call or email me or of course, you can always shop my online store 24/7 by clicking the link in the sidebar.

Stay tuned to see the other two cards we will be making in the coming days.

Gifts For Who?

Such fun gift ideas for so many upcoming occasions!  Think ahead....Mother's Day, Teacher Appreciation, A little something for a graduate or a special friend or relative....A little something just for you?

The petite purse is perfect for some sweet treats, a money holder and so much more! At my upcoming class, you will create two of these and use two different patterns-one pictured above-featuring the summer smooches design which is going to be in the upcoming 2012-2013 catalog.  You will love this purse!  It is the cutest little thing ever!
Come make this new and creative gift card holder! (This can also be a perfect business card holder!)

When opened, the left inside tab is decorated beautifully, and can also hold your business card if you please.
The right inside expresses your gratitude, or you can change the sentiment as you need to.
Above the sentiment on the right side, you may add a tea bag to go with your theme, and a gift card as well because this side has a pocket just the right side!

I hope you will come and learn how to create both of these simple projects and take them home to use as gift or maybe keep for you!

The class will take place in my home on:

Thursday:  April 26th at 10am or 6:15pm

Address:  2529 Hammock Lake Dr.
Little Elm, TX 75068

The class fee is $20 for the 4 items including the tea bags and smooches to fill your petite purse! or FREE for a $35 order.

April Come Create Card Class

Dear Stampers,

I am sooooooooo excited that I am beginning classes again!  Moving into our new home and getting settled has been an adventure and I have enjoyed it, but I have truly missed stamping with you all!  I hope that you will be inspired by the cards I am teaching at this class!

I am in love withe the Tea Shoppe stamp set from our Occasions Mini.  It was so fun to work with this combination of Pool Party and Poppy Parade to create this quaint card.  In class I will show you how this card can be used for  Mother's Day card if you like as well!

This is actually one of our Make & Takes from the San Antonio Regionals, which I attended after Leadership in January.  It features the Send Me Soaring stamp set as well as the Twitterpated designer series paper, also from the Occasions Mini catalog.  This set does send me soaring!  The more ideas I see the more I want to stamp with it!  It is great for adults and kids alike, and I've seen the cutest ideas for scrap booking with it!

This card has very little stamping but your eye is drawn to the beautiful paper, Everyday Enchantment from Sale-A-Bration (I will give a package away as a door prize at class!  Woo Hoo!)  and also the gorgeous flower made with the Blossom punch.  This punch coordinates with the Mixed Bunch stamp set, both in the Occasions Mini and both are beautiful!

At this class, you will create 3 of each of the 3 cards above as well as coordinating envelopes for a class fee of $20, or if you choose to place a $35 order, your class and cards are FREE!

The class will take place at my home:  2529 Hammock Lake Drive, Little Elm, TX 75068, on

Thursday, April, 12 at either 10am or 6:15pm, you choose the time which best fits your schedule.

Please RSVP to shancanstamp@yahoo.com  by April 17th.

I can't wait to stamp with you then!

We're on the Move

Dear Friends,

You may be wondering why you haven't heard from me about a February card class.  Well.....

I need to let you know that my family and I will be moving just next week.  We got an offer on our house in only two and a half weeks at the beginning of the month.  It was a good offer, the only caveat was that we close on 2/29.  Forgive me for not alerting you sooner.  I have made a couple of attempts to send emails, but my chimpmail has not cooperated.  I will try again.  The good news is we will not be moving far!

We will be staying in Texas and moving about 30 minutes away to Little Elm.  We will be on the Frisco border and in Frisco ISD, so it truly is not far.  I know a lot of people here Little Elm and immediately think of the Aubrey area way out 380, but we are just off of the Dallas North Tollway between Eldorado and Panther Creek Parkway.

My new address is 2529 Hammock Lake Drive, Little Elm, TX 75068 and we will be moving in on 3/1.
Feel free to look us up!

I hope you will still join me for all of my crafting events as you are more than customers to me, you have become friends and I will greatly miss you if you can't make it!

You can still reach me on my cell phone, which is listed on my SU website which you can link to on this site.  I will be scheduling an event before SALE-A-BRATION ends so you can still take advantage of this great time, but you don't have to wait for me!  Just give me a call, or shop my online store 24/7 and remember, for every $50 you spend, you will get a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!

Please keep your eyes open for upcoming emails for Simply Shannon events!

These little Valentine goodies will be given to the teachers at my daughter's school from she and her classmates!  I CASEd the topper from Shelli Gardner, SU's co-founder herself!  She demonstrated it at our Leadership conference and I just couldn't wait to try it myself!  The base is made with the new Framelits in our Occasions Mini, and now that I've won them, I don't know how I've ever lived without them!  They go perfectly with the Apothecary Art set in there as well!  I can't wait to put that to good use as well!  I hope Nora's teachers love them as much as I do!  The shot is a bit far away, so click on the picture to get a closer look!
